Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all involved in the online Philosophy course for 15-18 year olds, in particular, Will, the tutor.  Our daughter has thoroughly enjoyed the course, and has really looked forward to the sessions.  These have then stimulated lots of conversation for the whole family.

What is philosophy online?

Our philosophers run philosophical conversations through online meeting software. You join in with other people your age. The philosopher provides questions and stimuli and you pick them apart, try to answer, listen to others' ideas and draw your own conclusions in a safe online space.

We can also run one-to-one tutoring sessions for those doing RE & Ethics or Philosophy A-Level, or one-to-one sessions without an exam in site! Check out our What's On page to find a course or contact us for a bespoke program.

Why do philosophy?

Philosophy is a way of thinking about certain subjects such as ethics, thought, existence, time, meaning and value. That 'way of thinking' involves 4 Rs: responsiveness, reflection, reason and re-evaluation. The aim is to deepen understanding. The hope is that by doing philosophy we learn to think better, to act more wisely, and thereby help to improve the quality of all our lives.
